Postcards designed by young children that showcase Mablethorpe have been made available in the town.
The seven different designs were created by the young children earlier in the year at Connected Coast’s community exhibition event. During the event, young attendees were invited to draw, colour, and create around the theme of Mablethorpe.
Members of the Connected Coast Board were so impressed with the children’s bright and uplifting pictures that they have now all been turned into postcards.
A limited number of the postcards, which also include a QR code linking to a website where people can find out about the Connected Coast projects, are available for free from Station Leisure and Learning Centre, the Campus for Future Living, and National Trust Sandilands.
All three of these venues have been supported by the Towns Fund which is overseen in Mablethorpe by the Connected Coast Board.
”It was fantastic to see the children getting creative at our event in January, and the pictures that they have produced show the town through their eyes.
We are really pleased to be able to share these pictures wider as postcards, and I am sure they will bring a smile to people’s faces.

”Thank you so much to every child who took part and shared their unique view of Mablethorpe. The result is some truly delightful pictures which we are now glad to have available in our town.

As part of the community exhibition event, a prize draw took place for all the children who created a picture on the day, with two winners chosen at random to receive a £25 voucher and a pack of East Coast Top Trumps.
