Important acoustic tests have been carried out as part of the ongoing site works at Spilsby Sessions House!

Apex Acoustics Ltd have carried out noise break-out tests which involved installing loudspeakers within the main theatre space and measuring the level of noise break out through the building. Measurements were taken at various locations around the outside of the building.

This work is important to consider noise levels and ensure good acoustics for the future use of the building without it impacting negatively on the local community. The results will help establish the acoustic requirements for the remedial works for Spilsby Sessions House to control noise break out.

Tom Lucas, Principal Acoustic Consultant, at Apex Acoustics said: “Apex Acoustics has been involved in the refurbishment of many historic buildings and we are delighted to be working on this project which will see such a key asset and important historical building within the community brought back to life.”

The Lincolnshire Wolds: Cultural & Heritage programme is using Government funding to give new uses and enhance the visitor offer to Spilsby Sessions House, Alford Manor House and Alford Windmill.
