I am very saddened by the passing of Cllr Sid Dennis, and I mourn his loss on a personal and business level.
I know many, including myself, will feel they have lost a good friend as he always had time for people. I know personally I will really miss seeing his name pop up on my phone.
Sid had an ability to cut to the main points of any discussion and was always a great sounding board if you wanted someone to discuss an issue with. He brought the same dedication and passion he showed in developing a major Skegness business to his public life and wanted Skegness to be the best it could possibly be. We were very fortunate to have Sid as a board member on Connected Coast and he brought his commitment and enthusiasm for making a difference to that role.
He was a man of many talents as a comedian and after dinner speaker too - he also had the ability to create laughter off stage, even at the most stressful of times.
My condolences to everyone whose life he touched, and my thoughts particularly are with Marie and his family.
