A new £13.5 million leisure centre with swimming pool and state-of-the-art fitness facilities will open its doors to the public on Thursday 18 July!
Station Leisure & Learning Centre in Mablethorpe has been delivered by East Lindsey District Council to bring transformational health and wellbeing opportunities to local residents.
The new leisure venue will be operated by Magna Vitae Trust for Leisure & Culture.
The Council secured Government funding through the Town Deal, supported by the Connected Coast Board which oversees the delivery of the Towns Fund in Mablethorpe and Skegness.
Construction started in March last year and has been completed on schedule by contractors, ISG.
The facility is the first Town Deal scheme to be completed and delivered by the Council with the Colonnade at Sutton on Sea and the Campus for Future Living in Mablethorpe also progressing.
The Leisure and Learning Centre includes:
- A four-lane, 25m long and 1.2m deep swimming pool – perfect for swimming lessons for children and adults, family swims, school swimming and exercise for all ages and abilities.
- State-of-the-art fitness equipment – elevate your fitness game with cutting-edge machines and facilities from EGYM & Life Fitness.
- An exercise class programme including instructor-led and virtual classes.
- The Signal Box: The community space bringing learning to the local East Lindsey area
- Study Hubs: Providing social workspace for everyone
- Whistle Stop Bistro: A fantastic offering of delicious food and drink for the community to relax and enjoy
- Activity Game and Obstacle Arena, MagnaTAG: Endless fun and challenges await, making it the go-to spot for active play and adventure for all the family
- A new outdoor play area for the community

area.Finally Mablethorpe has its own public swimming pool as well as state of the art fitness and leisure facilities. For the first time, people in Mablethorpe of all ages will be able to access a swimming pool without the need to travel, giving more people the opportunity to learn to swim and improve their mental wellbeing
and fitness.This is a facility we can all be proud of and is a beacon of what can be achieved by working closely together with our partners.

It is really great to see the first Town Deal project for Mablethorpe now complete. The delivery of this new, modern facility was a priority for the Board, and it will play a crucial role in supporting the wellbeing of local people.
There has long been an aspiration in Mablethorpe for a swimming pool, and in this fantastic centre, this ambition has been realised, alongside state of the art fitness and training facilities.
The new Station Leisure and Learning Centre, together with the other Towns Fund projects that are being delivered, will be hugely beneficial for both local residents and visitors to Mablethorpe.

This project provides a shining example of collaborative partnership working right the way through from initial public consultation to final build completion and future operation. This facility has been a considerable number of years in the making. The completion of this new facility marks a very proud moment for all of those involved in making this happen. The positive impact this facility is set to have on the people of Mablethorpe, visitors to Mablethorpe and the very prominence of the town itself, will be significant. We have worked closely with local community groups and businesses within our steering group to ensure the services we provide will benefit everyone.
