In 2023, it was announced that Skegness would receive £20M in Long Term Towns Funding for improvements that will be delivered over the next ten years.
In May and June 2024, people who live, visit, and work in Skegness were asked to share their thoughts, aspirations, and ideas for the town to inform how the multi-million-pound funding will be spent.
Central to the consultation were the themes of safety and security; high streets, heritage, and regeneration, and transport and connectivity which are the cornerstones of the funding.
The feedback from the public will help to develop a 3 year investment plan and a 10 year outline plan for the funding in Skegness. An update on the findings will be shared here shortly.
