Chief Executive of Councils Partnership to host new breakfast briefings for local businesses.

The Chief Executive of the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership has arranged a series of four breakfast briefings across the sub-region to meet with local businesses.

The December sessions will be led by Rob Barlow and will provide an opportunity for businesses of all sizes to meet and network with representatives from the Partnership’s three council areas, Boston Borough Council, East Lindsey District Council and South Holland District Council, and cover a range of different topics.

What will the briefings include?

These will include more information about the ambitions of the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership and its councils, updates around the work being done to support local businesses and the economy, and the chance for a Q&A session where businesses can share their views on the engagement and relationships they would like with their local authority moving forwards.

The sessions are planned for the following dates and locations:

  • Monday 2 December (South Holland): Springfields Event Centre, Spalding: 8am – 9.30am.
  • Thursday 5 December (East Lindsey): Meridian Centre, Louth: 9am – 11.00am*.
  • Monday 9 December (Boston): The Beonna, Benington: 8am – 9.30am.
  • Wednesday 11 December (East Lindsey): The Vine Hotel, Skegness: 8am – 9.30am.

*The Louth session will be a joint briefing as part of the Rural Lincolnshire Enterprise Hub December meeting. The Hub can be contacted on roy.harper@skillsreach.co.uk.

Sessions are free to attend with breakfast refreshments provided for those coming along. These will be the first of a series of events led by the Partnership to meet and work with the local business community.

Any business representatives interested in attending a session should email Luisa Stanney, from the Partnership’s Economic Growth team, at luisa.stanney@boston.gov.uk, including details on which date you wish to attend and your business.

Hear from the SELCP Chief Executive…

I am delighted to have this opportunity to meet with and learn from some of the local businesses that are the lifeblood of our sub-region and provide such a crucial touchpoint to our residents and visitors.

As a partnership we want to make sure we are doing everything we can to support our businesses and make sure they can access all the help and potential funding available to them, and the chance to hear their experiences and challenges first hand is the best way to achieve this. I hope the sessions will be well attended and can help to grow and strengthen our excellent business network.
