Scaffolding

erected in the

Spilsby Sessions House

On August 22nd scaffolding was erected in Spilsby Sessions House! The birdcage scaffold was partially erected in the main hall.  This is an important stage in the project because it allows for closer inspection of the ceiling and roof void.

There was also a cherry picker on site to allow a closer inspection of the façade at high level, and the roofs.

The day of the visit was a combined visit by architects, structural engineers, services engineers, heritage consultant and contractor.  The visit was important for design development.

The Lincolnshire Wolds: Cultural & Heritage programme is using Government funding to give new uses and enhance the visitor offer to Spilsby Sessions House, Alford Manor House and Museum of Rural Life and Alford Windmill Trust.
